Site Coordinator | Commercial Builder

Design & Build Recruitment is currently searching for a motivated candidate to join a national fitout and refurb business as a permanent Site Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have a trade background or have experience working on or running smaller fitout projects. You will be supported through your own growth aspirations and very quickly move into a Site Management position. 

The majority of your projects will be in Sydney CBD. In the role you will be supporting a senior site manager. In return, you will be trained and supported through your own journey into a site management position within the company. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the management and coordination of all on-site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
• Support in adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and develop solutions to ensure project milestones are achieved.
• Collaborate closely with the project team to review plans, specifications, and construction documents.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Provide clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Assist in the management and control project costs, including procurement, tracking expenses, and monitoring budget allocation.
• Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the project, fostering positive relationships with all parties involved.
• Ensure the project is handed over smoothly, conducting final inspections, snagging, and documentation processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a trades person or site coordinator/foreman/supervisor on Commercial Fit Out projects.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
• Extremely motivated to learn and progress your career.
• Excellent communication skills
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Computer literate.
• Any other relevant qualifications, certifications, and licenses are highly desirable.
