Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Description – Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities:

• Plumbing: Repair, replace, or install faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, or washing machines.
  
  
• Electrical: Repair, replace, or install power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, or garage door openers.
  
  
• Drywall Repair: Patch and repair holes, cracks, and minor damage from daily wear and tear.
  
  
• Painting: Perform touch-ups following repairs or apply new coats of paint in apartment units during turnovers.
  
  
• Appliance Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, replace, or install household appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ranges/ovens, washers, and dryers.
  
  
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of plumbing fixtures, sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers to ensure safety and efficiency.
  
  
• General Property Care: Maintain curb appeal and support a clean, safe, and welcoming community environment.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 6 months of maintenance technician experience (apartment maintenance strongly preferred).
  
  
• Must provide your own basic tools.
  
  
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating professionalism and reliability.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks on time.
  
  
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  
  
• Effective communication skills for working with residents, contractors, and team members.
  
  
• Ability to meet all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
