Oracle EBS Techno Functional Consultant (6 Month Contract - Perm)

Oracle EBS Functional/Technical Consultant Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)

The Opportunity We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Functional/Technical Consultant to support and enhance a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working across both functional and technical domains, partnering closely with the business to deliver practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities Functional Support

• Support a range of Oracle EBS modules including Finance, Manufacturing, Purchasing/Supply Chain, Customer Services, and Projects
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system solutions
• Configure EBS modules using best practice approaches
• Investigate and resolve functional issues, including root cause analysis
• Support UAT and validate system changes with end users
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and system performance
• Produce clear functional and process documentation

Technical Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle EBS technical issues
• Support workflows, concurrent programs, integrations, and interfaces
• Develop and maintain customisations using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms & Reports, and BI Publisher
• Support APIs, integrations, and data loads
• Perform data analysis and database-level fixes where required
• Collaborate with DBA and infrastructure teams on performance and stability

Environment & Operations

• Support Oracle EBS environments alongside DBA teams
• Assist with performance tuning, patching, and environment management
• Contribute to releases and deployments
• Manage a high-volume support environment while meeting SLAs
• Participate in on-call or escalation support when required

Skills & Experience Functional

• Experience across at least two Oracle EBS modules
• Strong expertise in one or more of: Finance, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Purchasing, or Projects
• Proven experience supporting end-to-end business processes
• Comfortable working directly with business stakeholders

Technical

• Hands-on experience with the Oracle EBS technical stack
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
• Experience with Oracle Forms, Reports, BI Publisher, and integrations
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, cross-system issues

Platform Knowledge

• Solid understanding of Oracle databases and EBS architecture
• Experience working with DBA teams
• Exposure to performance tuning and environment management
