The Opportunity
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all SHEQ activities while acting as the custodian of the organisation's integrated management systems and ISO accreditations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and champion safety, health, environmental and quality initiatives across the business
- Maintain and continuously improve ISO-certified management systems
- Oversee incident investigations, risk management and corrective actions
- Manage internal and external audits, compliance programs and reporting requirements
- Partner with operational leaders to enhance workforce safety performance and culture
- Build and maintain positive relationships with employees, regulators, clients, auditors and industry stakeholders
- Lead SHEQ reporting, performance analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
- Demonstrated SHEQ leadership experience within civil construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, heavy industry or a related environment
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, environmental and quality management systems
- Experience managing ISO certification frameworks and audit programs
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to coach, mentor and influence teams at all levels
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline
- Lead Auditor qualifications across ISO standards
- Experience conducting incident investigations using ICAM
- Training and assessment qualifications
- Experience working with accredited laboratory or testing environments
