JOB TITLE: Logistics Support

LOCATION: San Diego, CA

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM / 3:30 PM

DURATION: 2-Year Contract

PAY: $28-32/hour




Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support material planning, inventory management, procurement, logistics, and production operations to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials and resources required for construction and manufacturing activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring supply chain activities to prevent material shortages and production delays.
  • Coordinating material movement between suppliers, warehouses, production teams, and worksites.
  • Managing inventory levels to ensure required stock is available to support operational needs.
  • Processing purchase requisitions and coordinating procurement activities.
  • Tracking shipments and coordinating transportation logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Serving as a liaison between Quality, Engineering, Customer Service, Production Control, and Manufacturing teams to identify and address potential bottlenecks.
  • Utilizing ERP systems to order, receive, ship, store, and track materials and inventory transactions.








    Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory and material status records.
  • Compile and analyze inventory data to optimize material flow and availability.
  • Process purchase requisitions and support procurement activities for required materials and parts.
  • Utilize ERP systems to manage material transactions, including receiving, shipping, storage, and inventory updates.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers and carriers.
  • Track shipments and delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time.
  • Confirm transportation rates, consolidate shipments when appropriate, and select cost-effective transportation methods.
  • Support production and construction operations by ensuring critical materials are available when needed.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding material availability, shortages, and potential supply chain risks.
  • Identify and escalate potential bottlenecks that may impact operational schedules.
  • Assist with workforce timekeeping activities and maintain accurate labor records as required.
  • Support multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

  • Knowledge of inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience using ERP systems for inventory and material management.
  • Familiarity with shipment tracking, freight coordination, and transportation logistics.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems such as MyTime or similar workforce management software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and recommend solutions proactively.








    Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in materials coordination, inventory control, supply chain, logistics, procurement, or related operational support roles required.
  • Experience with timekeeping systems required.
  • ERP system experience required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Construction industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, utility, or construction operations is a plus.
