About the Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the overall business goals. You will act as the primary liaison between management and employees, handling employee relations, compensation and benefits, and retention programs. You will also ensure compliance with Japan’s labor laws and oversee the performance evaluation system, contributing to the long-term success and positive work environment of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees to address claims, complaints, and other issues.
- Support current and future business needs through talent development, engagement, motivation, and retention.
- Lead and oversee organization-wide HR systems, strategies, and procedures.
- Foster a positive and dynamic work environment.
- Supervise and manage performance evaluation processes.
- Maintain and enhance compensation plans and benefit programs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of training programs.
- Provide management with HR metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations across all HR functions.
Requirements:
- Native or business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
- 8+ years of practical experience in HR management, particularly in talent engagement, operations, and retention.
- Proven ability to handle employee relations, compensation and benefits, and stakeholder management.
- Strong understanding of Japan’s labor laws.
- Experience in data analysis and using HR metrics for decision-making.
- Digitally savvy, with active engagement in social media and cross-industry networking.
- Leadership experience, with a focus on setting strategic HR visions and driving change.
