Apply directSenior Financial Analyst / Manager (3-Month Contract - Hybrid Remote in PST Zone)
Join a dynamic retail and consumer hardware organization as a Sr. FA/Manager on a short-term maternity leave coverage. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to partner with cross-functional teams, supporting go-to-market strategies, deal evaluations, and delivering impactful financial insights that directly influence revenue growth and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with commercial leaders to inform strategic financial decisions
- Model the financial impact of deals, promotions, pricing strategies, and marketing investments
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes
- Deliver comprehensive weekly and quarterly performance reports for senior leadership
- Analyze trends and identify anomalies, transforming data into actionable insights
- Partner across functions to align on financial strategies and priorities
- Support ad hoc analysis and strategic projects as needed
Required Skills:
- Extensive retail/hardware industry experience, with a deep understanding of retail P&L management, product flow, pricing, promotions, and inventory impacts on profitability
- Proven ability to work seamlessly with sales and commercial teams, providing real-time financial guidance
- Strong forecasting and planning experience, including revenue forecasting and budget management
- Skilled in evaluating deals, discounts, and retailer agreements, assessing profitability and market timing
- Proficiency with Adaptive planning and analytics tools; Tableau and advanced Excel skills essential
- Experience working with large datasets across multiple systems
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, making sound business decisions proactively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience supporting international teams, especially in APAC/Australia regions
- Exposure to AI tools and data automation technologies
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in retail sales-facing FP&A functions
- Prior experience in fast-moving consumer product environments is highly valued
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid work arrangement with flexibility in the PST time zone, with offices in Milpitas, Irvine, or Carlsbad preferred
- Willingness to support a 3-month contract, with availability to interview and start promptly
