About the Role
We are seeking an experienced WHS Specialist Contractor to support urgent safety initiatives within our Sydney CBD operations. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, managing risk, and driving a culture of safety across the business. Working closely with HR and Operations leaders, you will play a pivotal part in delivering several high-priority assessments and reports within tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee critical risk assessments across key projects.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, standards, and internal policies.
- Support HR and Operations leaders in meeting critical project deadlines for assessments and compliance reviews.
- Develop, review, and update WHS policies and procedures.
- Assist in incident reporting and investigations (including ICAM methodology where required).
- Provide clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to management.
- Partner with stakeholders to embed a proactive and hands-on approach to safety.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a dedicated WHS role.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to deliver risk assessments and audits under tight deadlines.
- Experience conducting or supporting ICAM investigations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner with HR, Operations, and senior leaders.
- WHS qualifications (Cert IV in WHS minimum, Diploma desirable).
