The Role
Our client is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver high-quality, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to individuals with disability.
This role focuses on improving quality of life through evidence-based strategies while ensuring compliance with NDIS standards and reducing restrictive practices.
Key responsibilities include:- Developing, implementing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans
- Delivering person-centred PBS in collaboration with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Providing training, coaching and guidance to staff and stakeholders
- Monitoring incidents and identifying unmet support needs
- Supporting risk management through tailored plans
- Ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards requirements, including report writing and plan lodgement
- Maintaining accurate documentation, data and billing records
- Contributing to continuous improvement and service quality initiatives
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs (e.g. ASD, intellectual disability, mental health, psychosocial)
- Strong knowledge of NDIS framework and Behaviour Support legislation
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
- Commitment to reducing restrictive practices and improving outcomes
- Current driver’s licence and working rights
