The Role

Our client is seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to deliver high-quality, person-centred Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to individuals with disability.

This role focuses on improving quality of life through evidence-based strategies while ensuring compliance with NDIS standards and reducing restrictive practices.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing, implementing and reviewing Behaviour Support Plans
  • Delivering person-centred PBS in collaboration with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Providing training, coaching and guidance to staff and stakeholders
  • Monitoring incidents and identifying unmet support needs
  • Supporting risk management through tailored plans
  • Ensuring compliance with NDIS Quality & Safeguards requirements, including report writing and plan lodgement
  • Maintaining accurate documentation, data and billing records
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and service quality initiatives
Requirements 
  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or related field
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs (e.g. ASD, intellectual disability, mental health, psychosocial)
  • Strong knowledge of NDIS framework and Behaviour Support legislation
  • Ability to work collaboratively with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Commitment to reducing restrictive practices and improving outcomes
  • Current driver’s licence and working rights
