Sourcing Specialist – Toys & Sporting Goods

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and internationally connected sourcing organization supporting global retail programs across toys and sporting goods categories. The business is known for its strong collaboration across sourcing, QA, supply chain, and product development teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality products, competitive pricing, and reliable supply solutions.

Based in Singapore, you will play a key role in managing sourcing activities across toys and sporting goods categories, working closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and regional teams. This role is ideal for candidates with strong sourcing experience who can operate independently in a fast-paced, international environment.

A typical day will include the following:

  • Sourcing and developing products in collaboration with buying teams, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and timeline objectives
  • Identifying and managing suppliers across Asia, driving competitive pricing and reliable delivery
  • Handling end-to-end sourcing activities including quotation, sample development, and order follow-up
  • Monitoring day-to-day operations, including supplier performance, shipment timelines, and critical path tracking
  • Negotiating payment terms and supporting supplier onboarding and evaluation
  • Collaborating closely with QA, supply chain, packaging, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Communicating regularly with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure programs are delivered on schedule
  • Maintaining and updating supplier matrix and performance tracking

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • 5–10 years of relevant sourcing experience (toys, sporting goods, or similar hardgoods categories preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing landscape across China, Southeast Asia, and India/Pakistan
  • Experience working with U.S. retail or buying office environments is highly preferred
  • Good understanding of product development, supplier management, and supply chain processes
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a regional role
  • Proficiency in Excel (e.g. Pivot Table, VLOOKUP) and other MS Office tools
  • Fluency in English is required; Mandarin or other Asian languages would be an advantage
