This position partners closely with factories, technical teams, and customers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery expectations are met, while driving sourcing strategy and business growth.
You will lead and develop a merchandising team, strengthen supplier networks, and act as a trusted commercial partner to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full merchandising cycle from development to shipment
- Assess and manage supplier and factory capabilities (quality, cost, capacity)
- Work proactively with factories and technical teams to ensure product quality standards
- Build, coach, and lead a high‑performing merchandising team
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, factories, and internal stakeholders
- Support and execute sourcing strategy and vendor base expansion
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to support business growth
- Review factory performance and drive continuous improvement
- Drive operational efficiency, cost optimisation, and process improvement
- Stay close to customer priorities and order pipeline planning
Requirements
- Degree in Textiles, Clothing, or related discipline
- 15+ years’ experience in garment trading or manufacturing
- Strong exposure to international markets (US ladieswear experience is a plus)
- Proven track record managing offshore factories and vendors
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and decision‑making skills
- Commercially minded with excellent problem‑solving ability
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Willing to travel occasionally for business
