The Role:
You’ll support the editorial team by:
- Curating and managing two key homepage platforms
- Editing and positioning content including video, articles, headlines, and alerts
- Reacting quickly to breaking news and updating content in real time
- Writing and sending alerts as stories develop
- Collaborating with writers, editors, and international teams
- Managing early morning handovers from US teams and aligning on editorial priorities
- Applying audience-focused thinking and day-part logic across US and European audiences
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years’ experience in a digital newsroom environment
- Strong homepage editing experience (essential)
- Excellent editorial judgement and ability to make fast decisions
- Strong writing skills with the ability to work quickly under pressure
- Experience working with writers, editors, and digital content teams
- Familiarity with digital content formats (video, articles, live updates)
- Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
