Key Responsibilities
Assessing and reviewing funding applications, which includes a rigorous analysis of the social issues presented, the applicant's background, and the overall feasibility and budgetary soundness of the proposed programmes.
Conducting thorough due diligence and formulate well-founded recommendations for senior leadership.
Proactive research and analysis of community needs and emerging social trends to help shape and inform funding strategies.
Post-approval monitoring of the progress of funded projects, ensuring they adhere to agreed-upon objectives, timelines, and financial controls.
Building and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with a wide array of stakeholders, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), government bodies, academic institutions, and various community partners.
Support the development and implementation of broader strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the organisation's overall social impact.
Candidate Profile
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess a strong academic background and relevant/relatable experience to grant making and management.
Requirements:
A minimum of 4-8 years of relevant professional experience for Manager grade and a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 7 years in a senior capacity for Senior Manager.
Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution
Experience in environments such as the non-profit sector, public administration, policy research, or grant-making foundations is highly preferred.
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to assess complex proposals and multifaceted social issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Cantonese are mandatory.
Proven ability to manage complex relationships with multiple stakeholders effectively.
A genuine and demonstrable passion for social betterment and community development is fundamental to success in this role.
