Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure)

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps/AWS Infrastructure) to join a growing technology organization in Johnson County, KS, working a hybrid schedule of 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. This is a senior-level engineering role focused on modernizing infrastructure, leading cloud migration efforts, building scalable CI/CD pipelines, and improving observability and reliability across critical systems. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves technically, partnering closely with engineering teams, and helping shape long-term cloud and infrastructure strategy — without moving into people management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of on-premises infrastructure and workloads into AWS cloud environments while minimizing production disruption
• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and infrastructure automation solutions
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering teams to establish infrastructure-as-code standards and cloud best practices
• Support infrastructure reliability, performance optimization, monitoring, cost management, and long-term platform scalability

Qualifications

• 5+ years of DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
• Strong experience supporting or leading AWS cloud migration initiatives and modern infrastructure environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, observability, and cloud architecture best practices
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams

Preferred Technical Experience

• AWS cloud services and migration tools
• Infrastructure-as-code and automation tooling
• GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD platforms
• Monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability platforms
