Accounting Manager – Hospitality / 8 months maternity cover / 45k-55k

I am currently helping our Client seeking an Accounting Manager to join the team in Hong Kong.

Role

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions for the entities in Hong Kong and Taiwan, including accounts payable, travel and entertainment expenses, corporate credit cards, accounts receivable, and the general ledger
• Responsible for month-end closing activities to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures
• Develop and implement internal strategies and policies to enhance accounting processes and reinforce internal controls
• Supervise balance sheet reconciliations, functional expense reporting, and management of travel data
• Collaborate with business leaders and financial partners on financial outcomes and facilitate performance evaluations
• Assist in system implementation by cooperating with internal and external IT teams, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensuring alignment with specifications
• Foster and maintain strong partnerships with business and operational counterparts
• Capable of managing multiple projects at once while working independently; possesses strong time management abilities
• Able to make timely decisions under pressure and comfortable challenging the status quo to enhance effectiveness
• Support, manage, and initiate organizational changes, take actions to eliminate obstacles or speed up the process

Experience Required

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification or an advanced degree
• Experience in commercial and/or public accounting
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese Preferred
• Experience in creating financial analytical reports or financial planning tools
• Prior experience interacting with management will be advantageous
• Preference for accounting experience with major multinational corporations
