Position Summary
The Program Manager – HEDIS is responsible for supporting the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the DRE Outreach Program. This role partners closely with leadership to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, manage projects from initiation through completion, and ensure the successful delivery of client reporting, invoicing, and program objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience in program or project management within healthcare, strong knowledge of HEDIS programs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Support the Director, HEDIS Program Management in the strategic development and implementation of quality initiatives.
- Assist with process improvement efforts across the HEDIS Program.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage project scope by obtaining alignment and approval from internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate meetings, document action items, and follow up on outstanding tasks and issues.
- Communicate critical project updates and information to leadership as needed.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate tools, metrics, and reporting methods.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, documentation, and records.
- Escalate project issues and concerns to management when appropriate.
- Manage project budgets and adjust constraints based on financial analysis and business needs.
Client Reporting & Financial Administration
- Oversee client reporting for completed screenings and program activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of client reports.
- Manage and process monthly client invoicing.
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives related to program performance.
Process Improvement & Documentation
- Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, workflows, and process maps to document operational needs and improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and program outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation for projects, processes, and operational procedures.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support departmental goals and strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive successful program outcomes.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- 3–5 years of Program Management experience.
- 3–5 years of experience supporting Healthcare or HEDIS programs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of project and program management principles.
- Experience supporting healthcare quality initiatives and HEDIS-related programs.
- Excellent client-facing, interpersonal, and relationship management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational, planning, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including:
- Excel
- Word
- PowerPoint
- Outlook
- Experience creating reports, process maps, workflows, and project documentation.
