Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Maintenance Technician
Service and maintain process equipment, such as pumps, drives, gearboxes, and related components.
Work with/around utility systems including boilers, air compressors, and chillers.
Perform general facility maintenance as needed (light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, etc.).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
Assist other maintenance team members as needed and support team objectives.
Continuously look for ways to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Communicate maintenance needs and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager, including spare parts/tool needs and downtime reduction opportunities.
Follow all site policies, procedures, and management direction in a professional manner.
Comply with applicable safety and environmental standards and requirements, including industrial safety practices (e.g., LOTO, confined space, fall protection).
Follow ISO procedures and the site EHS program requirements, including:

- Perform corrective repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues; identify root causes and recommend solutions.
- Inspect, repair, install, and service manufacturing and facility equipment.
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders and inspections on schedule.
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation (electronic PM software; paper checklists may be used for some applications).
- Support fabrication needs (cutting, welding, fitting, assembly) and general mechanical repair.
- Work safely with electrical systems, including:
- High and low voltage
- 3-phase power
- Basic wiring and conduit installation
- Use of basic electrical testing equipment
- Strict compliance with EHS rules and PPE requirements
- Use of respirators when required
- Reporting incidents/accidents or near-misses per site procedures
Minimum Qualifications - Maintenance Technician
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills; able to document work electronically
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Strong understanding of preventive maintenance processes/programs
- Understanding of manufacturing process equipment and operations
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Reliable work ethic with neatness and punctuality
- Willingness to work multiple shifts and/or weekends as needed
Training (Provided/Required) - Maintenance Technician
- Company policies and procedures
- Quality and safety training (EHS system training matrix)
- Forklift operation (as required)
- ISO overview (ISO 9000/14000 and safety system orientation)
- Equipment-specific training and procedures
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Electrical safety
- Hot Work Permits
Working Conditions / Physical Demands - Maintenance Technician
- Ability to traverse the property/facility to diagnose issues and plan repairs/maintenance
- Physically capable of performing hands-on repairs (lifting, bending, climbing, prolonged standing, etc.)
- Ability to work in tight/confined spaces, at heights, and in challenging environmental conditions
