Position Summary
The Bilingual Elementary General Education Teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of all students. The teacher will design and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with state and district curriculum requirements while fostering a love of learning and high expectations for student achievement.
Instruction & Curriculum
- Plan and implement engaging, standards-based lessons in core content areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction.
- Establish and maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom culture.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth.
- Identify students’ academic and behavioral needs and collaborate with support staff to implement appropriate interventions.
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI), IEP, and 504 meetings as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, and related service providers.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Maintain compliance with district policies, state regulations, and professional standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Elementary Education (appropriate grade level endorsement required).
- Strong knowledge of state standards and instructional best practices.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
