About the role
This is a dynamic, on-road Mobile Locksmith role covering Christchurch and the wider Canterbury region. You’ll enjoy a high level of autonomy, working from a fully equipped vehicle while handling a mix of scheduled and urgent jobs. In this role, no two days are the same, covering everything from residential lock installs through to advanced access control systems and automotive work.

About the role

Responsibilities
- Attend on-site jobs across residential, commercial, and automotive sectors
- Install, service and repair locks, safes, and security systems
- Deliver access control solutions (including electronic systems)
- Complete automotive locksmithing tasks including transponder keys
- Respond to urgent callouts as part of the on-call roster
- Provide high-quality customer service and technical advice
To succeed in the role, you will be/have
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a locksmith
- Proven experience working in a mobile/on-road capacity
- Available to work 24/7 on call roster (1 in 5 weeks)
- Strong automotive locksmithing capability (transponders essential)
- Experience with access control systems (Salto advantageous)
- Installation experience across residential and commercial work
- Safe servicing/opening experience (beneficial)
- Full Clean NZ Driver License
- Clean criminal record and ability to pass pre-employment checks
