Located in Melbourne's western suburbs, this Catholic co-educational secondary college serves Years 7 to 12 within the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) network. With approximately 1,800+ students, the college is one of the largest Catholic secondary schools in the region and continues to grow, with a new P-12 campus planned for 2027.

The college operates a dedicated Year 9 campus designed to support the unique developmental needs of students in the transition years. Senior pathways include VCE subjects, VCE VM, and VET, alongside a strong STEAM program. Co-curricular opportunities span performing arts, outdoor education and sports.

Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Position of Leadership: POL 3
• Start Date: Term 1, 2027 (January)
• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
• Subject Areas / Year Levels: Religious Education, Years 7-12
• Reports to: Director of Learning and Growth
• Salary: $89,218 to $127,692 (inclusive of $9,629 POL allowance)

Role Responsibilities

• Lead the Religious Education learning area across Years 7 to 12, overseeing curriculum planning, assessment design, moderation and data analysis in line with MACS and VCAA requirements
• Mentor and support RE teachers in delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons that reflect the college's Catholic identity and commitment to student excellence
• Collaborate with the Deputy Principal: Faith and Mission and the Faith and Mission Team to promote and embed the college's Catholic ethos across all aspects of the learning area
• Coordinate the annual review of RE courses, assessments and teaching methods, and manage the learning area budget and annual booklist
• Work with the Learning Diversity Team to provide differentiated learning pathways for students with disability, gifted and talented students and EAL/D learners within the RE learning area
• Actively promote the Religious Education learning area at college events including Open Days, Expo and subject selection information sessions

About You
You're a qualified teacher who:

• Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
• Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
