Interim Registered Manager (Elderly Care Home) Location: Near Amlwch, Anglesey Rate: £300+ per day (DOE) + Mileage Covered Contract: Interim Assignment (6-12 Months+) Commitment: 1-2 Days Per Week (Flexible) Start Date: ASAP An Opportunity to Make a Lasting Impact New Way Recruitment is supporting a well-established specialist residential elderly care service seeking an experienced Interim Registered Manager to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and mentorship during an exciting period of transition and growth. This is an ideal opportunity for an accomplished Registered Manager, Turnaround Manager, Operations Manager, or Consultant with a strong background in elderly care, dementia care, and regulatory compliance who is passionate about developing people, strengthening services, and creating positive outcomes for residents. The service currently supports older adults living with dementia within a specialist residential setting and is preparing for significant future expansion, making this a highly rewarding assignment for a hands-on leader who enjoys making a tangible difference. The Role Working closely with an enthusiastic and highly capable Deputy Manager, you will provide interim leadership whilst supporting their development towards a future Home Manager position. Key responsibilities include: Acting as the Registered Manager and maintaining registration with CIW Providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Deputy Manager Supporting the service through a period of management transition Reviewing operational performance and implementing best practice improvements Ensuring compliance, governance, and care records remain fully up to date Conducting audits and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Driving quality standards across care delivery and resident outcomes Supporting workforce engagement, culture development, and team performance Maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholders Working collaboratively with ownership to support future growth plans Providing oversight and guidance on a planned extension project Taking a visible, hands-on approach within the home and leading by example About You We are keen to hear from experienced care leaders who possess: Previous experience as a Registered Manager within elderly residential or dementia care services Strong working knowledge of CIW regulations and registration requirements Proven experience maintaining compliance and quality standards Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills A practical and operational management style Experience supporting service improvement and development projects Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification (or equivalent) Ability to commute within approximately one hour of the service What's On Offer Competitive day rate of £300+ per day depending on experience Mileage expenses covered Flexible working arrangement with 1-2 days per week commitment Opportunity for partial remote working Long-term interim assignment with potential extension Opportunity to influence the future growth and development of the service Work alongside a dedicated, passionate, and highly respected Deputy Manager Fully digital care systems including electronic care planning and eMAR Supportive and engaged ownership team Chance to leave a lasting legacy within a growing organisation This role would suit an experienced care leader seeking a meaningful interim opportunity where their expertise, guidance, and leadership can make a genuine difference to residents, colleagues, and the future success of the service.
