Job Description

The candidate will be the Project Director for Master and Prime Integrator projects. In this role, the candidate will manage multiple Nokia organizations, 3 rd parties and customer personnel during the planning, design, integration, testing, and deployment of the required solution.

The Project Director is fully accountable for meeting the customer commitments at or below budget and on schedule. The Project Director has the project execution strategy and Governance accountability and is the single Nokia interface for the customer and all project stakeholders for the contract.

The Master and Prime Integrator Project Director is a highly skilled professional, an acknowledged leader both within the organization as well as with other organizations, with comprehensive knowledge of offered solutions and accountability for the delivery of an end-to-end solution using a disciplined System Integration methodology.

Main Responsibility Area 

  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Develops/Contributes to long term Customer Relationship strategy
    • Establishes and maintains good customer relationship by
      • Ensuring all relevant information is communicated proactively to the customer
      • Regular meeting practices maintained and agreed actions are reliably addressed
  • Project and Program Management Planning
    • Plans project based on PMI principles and processes (initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control, close)
  • Monitoring & Controlling Project and Program Execution
    • Drives each deliverable owner to provide their piece of the solution on time with quality, and the deliverables mesh together to create the solution required for the program
  • Supplier management including
    • Support Nokia Procurement and Third-Party Management for coordination of Supplier deliverables
      • Commercial and contract management across vendors
      • Creating, in collaboration with technical lead, supplier requirements, issuing requests for bid, analyzing and choosing the best in class suppliers for the program
      • Establishing supplier agreements and Statements of Work
    • Working with competition ability to foster a team approach, and understand the legal implications of providing leadership to teams that are Nokia competitors in the marketplace, for the benefit of our customer.
  • Risk Management
    • Identify and analyze risks and opportunities and implement risk response actions.
    • Ensure risks actively monitored and managed and risk management plan updated
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Managing the expectations of Program stakeholders including customers, project team members, 3rd party vendors and subcontractors
    • Setting up and maintaining clear and effective internal and external communication within the relevant project stakeholders (e.g. customer and project teams)
  • Leading the Project Team(s) / Program Organization
    • Organize and lead the project teams / program organization to meet the contractual commitments .
    • Creates a productive work environment and a sense of teamwork across multi-party delivery channels, possibly including competitors, and Nokia teams to keep the program delivery on schedule.
  • Maintain the Program Management Plan
    • Continuously and proactively adapt Project/Program Management Plans and Delivery Processes to reflect the changing environment
  • Managing financial and non-financial Performance
    • Drives for continuous efficiency improvement
    • Aims to improve revenue and GM by preventing scope creep and capturing up-selling opportunities by effective Change Management
  • Closure and handovers
    • Ensure contractual requirements completed
    • Close the project (e.g. collect lessons learnt, document project completion)
    • Customer handover activities 
       

Requirements

  • BS, MS or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science, Operations Research or Network Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • PMI certified or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-vendor systems integration projects.
  • Working knowledge of 3G and 4G Wireless technologies, Cloud, IMS, VoLTE, and OSS/BSS .
