Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Brake Press Operator to join our team in Spring Lake, MI. In this role, you’ll be a vital part of production operations, helping form and fabricate metal parts to meet quality and customer specifications. This follows your standard JD format from the uploaded template.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Brake Press Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend and form metal parts according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications
- Read and interpret job instructions, measurements, and part drawings to ensure accurate production
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and proper dimensions
- Make basic machine adjustments as needed to maintain quality and production standards
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, or gauges to verify parts
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work area, follow all safety procedures, and communicate any machine or quality concerns to the supervisor.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
- Prior brake press operation experience is preferred
- Experience in metal fabrication or machine operation is a plus
- Ability to read measurements and follow detailed work instructions
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift as needed throughout the shift
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good measuring and basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
