Job Title: Co-op Student - Emerging Technologies, Comparative Medicine

Job Description:
Join the Emerging Technologies team in Comparative Medicine and contribute to the development of digital in vivo biomarkers and next generation preclinical research technologies. You will gain hands on experience with digital home cage monitoring, wearable biosensors, behavioral phenotyping, and data analytics while supporting innovative research programs that advance drug discovery and translational science.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in experiment execution, data collection, data analysis, statistical modeling, and interpretation
Perform acclimation and some husbandry procedures for laboratory rodents with a focus on wearable technologies
Help with study logistics including materials, scheduling, inventory to keep operation running smoothly
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and prototype innovative solutions.
Maintain lab records/documentations and share updates to project leads.
What you ll bring:
At least one-year of related work experience (relevant course work may count towards experience).
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor s or master s program (e.g. Biology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering)
Familiarity with data analysis tools preferred (e.g. Python, MATLAB, GraphPad Prism)
Some rodent experience preferred – detailed guidance and training will be provided for each of the specific procedures used
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
