Job Overview:
This role will be responsible for providing quality support through knowledge of inspection procedures and tools, and ability to troubleshoot within in a manufacturing facility. A Quality Technician works with a team to ensure all products meet established quality standards. The ideal candidate is adaptable, a team player, a great communicator, and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate CMMs and precision measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and comparators.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to ensure product compliance.
- Perform inspections including PPAP, FAI, in-process, floor-sample, and vendor-part inspections.
- Conduct process audits, identify defects/nonconformances, document findings, and enter data into ERP systems.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, calibration documentation, and ISO-related records.
- Ensure measurement equipment is calibrated, maintained, and traceable; support investigations involving measurement issues.
- Collaborate with quality and production teams on workflow improvements, root-cause analysis, NCMs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow ISO, EHS, PPE, safety, 5S, and workplace procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalent Diploma (GED)
- 2+ years’ experience in quality experience
Preference:
- Experience using various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses
- Ability to read and understand the bill of materials and work order instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings
- Demonstrated time management skills, strategic thinking, and adaptability
- General computer knowledge (i.e. log on credentials, Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
