Apply directWe are currently partnering with a fast-growing international fintech organisation seeking to appoint a Chief Risk & Compliance Officer to join its senior leadership team. This is a key strategic appointment responsible for leading the organisation’s global Risk & Compliance function, ensuring robust governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and effective enterprise risk management across multiple jurisdictions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Board, and senior stakeholders while leading a high-performing compliance, risk, and transaction monitoring team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall Risk & Compliance strategy across the organisation
- Maintain and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks
- Oversee compliance monitoring, AML/CTF controls, and financial crime prevention
- Manage regulatory relationships, licensing matters, and regulatory submissions
- Provide oversight across operational, technology, resilience, and compliance risks
- Support business growth and expansion into new markets from a regulatory perspective
- Deliver risk reporting and governance updates to executive leadership and board committees
- Promote and embed a strong risk-aware culture across the business
- Lead, mentor, and develop Risk & Compliance teams
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience within Risk & Compliance in financial services
- Strong fintech and/or payments industry experience
- Experience operating within highly regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, governance, consumer protection, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience engaging directly with regulators and board-level stakeholders
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
- Strong communication, influencing, and strategic decision-making skills
