Client is seeking a senior, hands-on Workday HRIS Analyst to provide front-line support for Workday operations and HR technology services during a period of significant organizational growth and transformation. This role will serve as a trusted extension of the HR Technology team, independently managing the HRIS support queue, resolving system and data issues, supporting users, and delivering reporting and analytics solutions.
The ideal candidate is a Workday configuration analyst who is equally comfortable completing routine employee data updates, troubleshooting complex business process issues, developing reports for leadership, and partnering with HR stakeholders to improve Workday operations. This role offers broad visibility across HR Technology and the opportunity to contribute to transformation initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for managing and resolving requests submitted through the HRIS support queue.
- Provide day-to-day administration, configuration support, and operational support for the Workday platform.
- Independently investigate and resolve system issues, user inquiries, transaction failures, and data discrepancies.
- Perform employee and organizational data corrections while maintaining data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.
- Support Workday transactions and business processes across multiple HR functional areas.
- Develop, modify, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests and support ongoing HR analytics requirements.
- Prepare reporting solutions and data insights for HR stakeholders and leadership.
- Conduct data audits, reconciliations, and validation activities to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Support data extraction, imports, and related data management activities.
- Translate HR stakeholder requirements into effective Workday reporting, configuration, and process solutions.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve HR operations through process optimization and automation.
- Support system testing, issue resolution, configuration changes, and enhancement activities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with external Workday consulting partners on complex configuration and technical issues.
- Provide responsive remote support and clear system guidance to HR teams, managers, employees, and business partners.
- Prioritize and manage competing requests while operating independently with minimal oversight.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
- 3 years of hands-on Workday experience in an HRIS, HR Technology, Workday Administrator, or Workday configuration role.
- Experience independently supporting day-to-day Workday operations in a production environment.
- Experience supporting multiple Workday functional areas, including:
- Core HCM
- Recruiting
- Compensation
- Security
- Absence
- Talent and Performance
- Reporting and Analytics
- Experience configuring or supporting Workday business processes and transactions.
- Strong experience troubleshooting Workday system issues, transaction failures, business processes, and data discrepancies.
- Experience creating and modifying Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Experience performing employee data corrections, data audits, reconciliations, and validation activities.
- Strong understanding of HR data integrity and confidential employee information.
- Ability to manage a Workday or HRIS support queue and provide effective remote user support.
- Ability to work autonomously and quickly become a trusted resource for the HR Technology team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills or Experience
- Workday experience within a mid-size global organization.
- Experience partnering with external Workday consulting providers.
- Knowledge of HR data governance, auditing, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting HR technology transformation or organizational change initiatives.
- Experience with Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Copilot, or Copilot Studio.
- Experience using automation to improve HR processes or support operations.
- Experience with HR data analytics or business intelligence tools.
- Basic SQL or Snowflake experience.
- Experience with Jira Service Management or Jira Software.
