Job Overview:
Our Compression Systems and Services (CSS) North America division delivers highly reliable, cutting-edge compressor systems trusted by customers across industries worldwide. With a relentless focus on productivity, performance, and customer support, CSS has earned its reputation as a leader in the field — and we are seeking a dynamic Production & Warehouse Leader to help drive the next phase of growth at our Ocala Aftermarket Center. This high-impact role will lead day-to-day operations across a growing aftermarket site with established warehouse functionality and expanding light production operations. The Production & Warehouse Leader will be responsible for building strong operational discipline, developing high-performing teams, improving workflow, and ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer commitments are consistently met. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings structure and accountability to daily operations, and is passionate about building teams, improving processes, and driving operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations across the manufacturing and warehouse environment, including Production Operations, Materials, Quality, Environmental Health & Safety, and Lean implementation.
- Establish and drive site goals in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP), ensuring alignment with business priorities and customer commitments.
- Work with customers, cross-functional leaders, and internal teams to meet production requirements, deliver on time, and achieve business outcomes.
- Effectively use policy deployment to align department goals and activities with broader organizational goals.
- Leverage budgeting, forecasting, and Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning (SI&OP) rhythms to ensure scheduling, capacity, and headcount are aligned to support plant success.
- Manage manufacturing schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing inventory, staffing, work procedures, duty assignments, budget limitations, time constraints, and customer impact.
- Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost-control programs.
- Ensure production and quality control systems are effective by analyzing production, quality, and operational reports to maintain high-quality yields.
- Implement, monitor, and manage meaningful performance indicators across EHS, People, Service, Quality, Cost, and Growth to deliver top- and bottom-line business results.
- Drive performance against CEO metrics, financial goals, site objectives, and continuous improvement priorities, including EHS, quality, delivery, inventory turns, process efficiency, and cost.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by championing Lean Manufacturing principles and driving process improvement across the site.
- Guide, motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve production targets, maintain a safe work environment, and consistently perform above expectations.
- Establish a strong site culture with clear priorities around business execution, employee communication, employee relations, and operational accountability.
- Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement and ownership in achieving excellence across SQDIP and compliance.
- Develop and utilize people resources effectively through talent management processes.
- Create effective teams to ensure timely resolution of production or processing problems.
- Coach and review the performance of direct reports.
- Partner with EHS specialists to ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational programs, including Corporate Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, OSHA, and applicable state and federal environmental agencies.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance, and operational discipline across production and warehouse operations.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in a warehouse manufacturing industrial environment.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and managing individuals and teams.
- 2+ years’ experience with ERP systems (specifically SAP) and inventory control processes
- Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and the key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
