What you'll be leading
You'll take ownership of the complete logistics and operational function including:

• National transport operations
• Fleet performance and asset utilisation
• Route optimisation and scheduling
• Operational safety and compliance
• Customer service excellence
• Labour planning and workforce optimisation
• Continuous improvement initiatives
• Operational reporting and commercial performance

You'll also lead a team of experienced operational leaders while providing strategic direction across a broader workforce of drivers, supervisors and operational personnel.

What you'll be doing
Every day will be different, but your focus will include:

• Developing and executing logistics strategies that improve productivity and reduce costs
• Driving fleet utilisation and operational efficiency
• Leading transport, scheduling and operational performance across multiple business units
• Creating industry-leading customer service standards
• Building KPI dashboards and using data to drive smarter decisions
• Leading operational transformation projects
• Standardising national operating procedures
• Partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
• Delivering measurable improvements in productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance.

About You
You'll already be operating in a senior logistics, transport or operations leadership position and enjoy solving complex operational challenges.
You'll bring experience such as:

• Leading large logistics or transport operations
• Fleet management and operational optimisation
• Driving continuous improvement and operational change
• Building high-performing teams
• Managing significant operational budgets
• Developing KPI reporting and performance frameworks
• Working with executive stakeholders
• Strong commercial and customer focus

Experience from industries such as waste management, transport, industrial services, petroleum, chemicals, manufacturing, construction materials, mining or other heavy industries will be highly regarded.

Compliance & Safety
You'll have a strong understanding of operational governance and regulatory compliance, with exposure to areas such as:

• NHVR
• Chain of Responsibility
• Heavy Vehicle National Law
• EPA requirements
• Workplace Health & Safety
• Dangerous Goods
• Multi-site operational compliance

Most importantly, you'll be someone who naturally creates a safety-first culture.
