About the Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in Telecommunications and Network Operations, is looking for a skilled Blue Planet Implementation Lead Consultant to join their team for a contract engagement. This project involves leading the deployment, integration, and operationalization of Ciena Blue Planet solutions within a large-scale telecommunications environment, driving automation initiatives from architecture through to production deployment and operational handoff. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:

• Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end implementation and delivery of Blue Planet solutions, serving as the technical authority for architecture, integration, and deployment decisions.
• Platform Implementation: Deploy, configure, and optimize Blue Planet orchestration, inventory, and automation components, while designing intent-based automation workflows.
• OSS & Network Integration: Integrate Blue Planet with OSS, inventory, assurance, telemetry, and ITSM platforms using REST APIs and TM Forum Open APIs.
• Delivery & Operational Readiness: Lead System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production readiness activities, including developing runbooks and operational documentation.
• Client Consulting: Act as the primary technical advisor to engineering and operations teams, translating business objectives into practical automation and transformation roadmaps.

Required Skills & Experience:

We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of experience in network automation, OSS integration, service orchestration, or telecommunications software delivery.
• Deep expertise in Ciena Blue Planet solutions, including orchestration, inventory, assurance, or related modules. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
• Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networks, Ethernet services, and metro/long-haul optical transport.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
• Experience with REST APIs, TM Forum Open APIs, event-driven architectures, and telemetry/streaming data platforms.
• Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to senior stakeholders and project teams.
