Drainage Engineer – FM Service Provider – High-End Residential Portfolio – Canary Wharf & Battersea, London – Up to £48,000 + Package
Exciting opportunity to join an established FM service provider covering a portfolio of seven high-end residential buildings across London, with six sites located in Canary Wharf and one in Battersea. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Drainage Engineer to carry out planned and reactive drainage maintenance across the portfolio.
This role would suit an experienced Drainage Engineer with a strong background in commercial or residential drainage systems, who enjoys taking ownership of their work and working closely with clients and specialist subcontractors. Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday – 07:30 am to 17:00 pm
- Friday – 07:30 am to 16:00 pm
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative and reactive drainage maintenance across a portfolio of high-end residential buildings.
- Undertaking CCTV camera surveys on rainwater gullies, stacks, and below-ground drainage systems.
- Diagnosing drainage issues and recommending remedial or improvement works.
- Supporting the development and upkeep of drainage plans and asset information.
- Supervising and coordinating specialist drainage subcontractors on site.
- Working primarily within landlord areas, with occasional involvement within tenant spaces.
- Producing detailed reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with clients and site teams.
- Supporting the wider engineering team where required.
Package:
- Salary up to £48,000 PAYE or £180 per day CIS
- £160 per month travel allowance

Requirements:
- City & Guilds Plumbing Qualification or equivalent
- Strong understanding of commercial drainage systems
- Legionella / L8 awareness or qualification desirable
- Proven fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Experience within commercial building maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and client-facing skills
- Must be able to provide copies of trade certificates
