About the Role
Reporting directly to the Building Manager, you'll lead a team of 4 Construction Managers and more than 20 Site Managers, overseeing the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of residential developments across metropolitan Adelaide.
You'll be accountable for construction performance across safety, quality, programme, productivity and financial outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to Rivergum's high standards.
Working closely with Estimating, Design, Customer Care and Maintenance, you'll help remove operational barriers, strengthen collaboration across the business and contribute to strategic decision-making as part of the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of Construction Managers and Site Managers.
- Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to Rivergum's quality standards.
- Drive programme, productivity and financial performance across multiple concurrent projects.
- Build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to maximise project outcomes.
- Lead workforce planning, recruitment, coaching and performance management.
- Identify operational risks and implement practical solutions that improve delivery outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement across construction systems, processes and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and WHS legislation.
- Oversee customer escalations and support an exceptional customer experience from site commencement through to warranty.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Bring
- Extensive leadership experience within residential or commercial construction.
- Proven success managing Construction Managers, Site Managers and large construction teams. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, programmes and operational performance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of residential construction methodologies and project delivery.
- Thorough understanding of South Australian building legislation, the National Construction Code and WHS requirements.
- Demonstrated success improving operational performance and implementing process improvements.
- Outstanding leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to make informed decisions in a dynamic construction environment.
- Certificate IV in Building & Construction.
- Diploma in Business Management (desirable).
- South Australian Domestic Builder Registration (essential).
