Serviceperson (Mining) - DIDO | 7/7 Roster About the Role

 
We are currently seeking experienced Servicepersons to join our mining operations team.
This role is responsible for the in-pit servicing, refuelling, and maintenance support of heavy mobile equipment (HME) across site.
You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency in a dynamic mining environment.
 
Roster & Benefits:

• Roster: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (Days & Nights when fully operational)
• Pay Rate: $50 to $55 per hour
• Work Type: DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out)

Key Responsibilities

• Service and refuel heavy mobile equipment across site (in-pit and workshop/onsite)
• Operate service trucks to replenish fuel, oil, and grease levels
• Conduct inspections and basic maintenance on equipment
• Refuel equipment at fuel bay and complete daily servicing tasks
• Replenish service trucks at fuel farm
• Perform safe ingress/egress from heavy equipment
• Adhere to safety procedures, site policies, and fatigue management requirements
• Assist with administrative and procedural improvements as required

Equipment Exposure:

You will be working on a variety of mobile plant, including:

• CAT Haul Trucks
• CAT Dozers, Graders & Loaders
• Hitachi Excavators
• Komatsu and other ancillary equipment

About You (Requirements):

• Current C Class Driver's Licence (mandatory)
• Demonstrated experience servicing heavy mobile plant
• Previous mining industry experience essential
• Strong understanding of safe work practices and equipment servicing
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions

Physical & Work Environment:

• Regular lifting and carrying up to 30kg
• Frequent bending, twisting and climbing in awkward positions
• Exposure to dust, heat, vibration, and uneven terrain
• Long shifts (10.5-12.5 hours) including night work

Mandatory Requirements (Mobilisation):

 
Successful candidates must provide:

• Right to Work (Birth Certificate or Passport)
• Current Driver's Licence
• National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
• Completed New Employee Details (NED) Form
• PPE Request Form (Mt Carlton placeholder acceptable)
• Pre-Employment Medical (including functional assessment)

Additional Compliance

• Respiratory fit testing required using Portacount (or similar) for:
  • 3M 8322 disposable respirator
  • 3M 9322A disposable respirator
