Overview:
As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data related to inventory, production, and Standard costs, supporting the company’s financial health and operational decision-making. You will collaborate closely with procurement, production, and accounting teams to maintain data integrity, conduct variance analysis, and support month-end close processes. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting who thrive on detail and accuracy.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2-3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Excel and Word; experience with Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to perform variance analysis, reconcile inventories, and support month-end close procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Standard Costing & Valuation processes
  • Familiarity with JSOX internal controls and inventory auditing
  • Experience working with manufacturing variances and gross margin analysis

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • 2-3 years of hands-on cost accounting experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment
  • ERP system experience (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) is beneficial

Other Requirements:

  • This is an onsite role based in Bedford, NH, with no remote work available.
  • Regular business hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility for early start times and occasional early departures.
  • The ideal candidate will pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to work closely with the accounting and production teams to support internal controls and operational excellence.
