Senior Grid Portfolio Analyst (Housing and Grid Optimisation Portfolios)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Grid Portfolio Analyst to play a key role in the planning, forecasting and optimisation of major infrastructure investment programs. This position will support the delivery of long-term network and housing-related infrastructure initiatives by providing program planning, investment analysis, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
Working across a complex portfolio of projects, you will help ensure investment priorities are aligned with delivery timeframes, available capacity, resource constraints and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain long-term and medium-term investment and delivery programs across housing and infrastructure portfolios.
• Build and manage multi-year project pipelines, incorporating project dependencies, lead times, key milestones and approval requirements.
• Analyse infrastructure capacity, project delivery schedules and development timelines to identify risks, opportunities and potential constraints.
• Support scenario modelling and options analysis to assist strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Develop budget expenditure profiles and forecasting models aligned to project delivery schedules.
• Provide monthly forecasting, reporting and variance analysis across a large investment portfolio.
• Partner with project delivery, planning, finance and operational teams to ensure investment plans remain current and achievable.
• Contribute to annual investment planning activities and identify future project opportunities based on network capacity, growth requirements and delivery lead times.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, planning processes, tools and reporting capabilities.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in program planning, scheduling or portfolio coordination within a complex project environment.
• Strong capability in balancing competing priorities, timelines, resource availability, dependencies and delivery risks.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate large volumes of data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Experience developing forecasts, investment plans, schedules or delivery programs across multiple workstreams.
• The ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to present findings, risks and opportunities to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Experience

• Infrastructure, utilities, energy, transport, mining, resources or other asset-intensive industry experience.
• Exposure to capital investment planning, portfolio management, budgeting or asset management environments.
• Experience using planning, scheduling, reporting or business intelligence tools.

Essential Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in program planning, portfolio scheduling or investment planning across multiple concurrent projects and workstreams.
• Strong understanding of project delivery timeframes, resource constraints, equipment availability, critical dependencies and competing priorities within a complex operating environment.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrated project, program or portfolio plans that align investment priorities with delivery capability and strategic objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse large datasets and translate findings into practical recommendations that support planning, forecasting and investment decision-making.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including project delivery, planning, operational and finance teams, to achieve shared outcomes.
• Full Australian working rights with no restrictions and currently residing in Australia.

This role is best suited to professionals with a strong background in planning and scheduling at a program or portfolio level, rather than individual project management, who can effectively balance competing priorities across a complex infrastructure investment portfolio.
