IT Senior Business Analyst - (Banking)

Overview
The IT Senior Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner between Client's Real Estate Capital (REC) business and Technology teams. This role supports the delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards while driving optimization of business processes and application capabilities across the commercial real estate lending environment.
The position leads requirements analysis, business process modeling, data analysis, testing strategy, and stakeholder engagement for complex initiatives. The role works closely with business and technology teams supporting commercial real estate lending platforms, including Moody's CreditLens and related applications that support the loan lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities
• Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops with business and technology stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, business rules, and technical requirements while evaluating impacts across applications, integrations, and downstream systems.
• Document current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, user experience, automation, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and subject matter experts to design solutions aligned with business objectives and technology standards.
• Support enhancements and modernization initiatives involving Moody's CreditLens and related lending applications.
• Analyze commercial real estate lending processes, including deal intake, underwriting, approval workflows, covenant management, document management, and portfolio oversight.
• Develop data mapping and source-to-target requirements for integrations across internal and third-party platforms.
• Partner with business stakeholders to prioritize capabilities and enhancements that improve the end-to-end lending experience.
• Develop and support testing strategies, coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities, validate delivered solutions, and support release readiness and implementation efforts.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience managing requirements for complex systems involving multiple business stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, and business requirements documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across business and technology teams.

Preferred Skills or Experience
• Commercial lending or Commercial Real Estate lending experience.
• Experience with Moody's CreditLens or other commercial credit platforms.
• Knowledge of commercial real estate origination, underwriting, approval, and portfolio management processes.
• Experience with data mapping, system integrations, and enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools.
• Understanding of banking regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with cloud-based and SaaS lending platforms.
