Senior Finance Leader

Company Overview
Our client is a well-established financial services organisation, based in Melbourne.

Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will have end to end operational and strategic leadership across Finance. This is a high-impact role requiring the ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level, with strong regulatory and compliance acumen.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversee financial budgeting, forecasting and performance monitoring across the organisation
• Ensure integrity of the general ledger and compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Lead development and maintenance of internal controls and financial regulatory reporting frameworks
• Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements, regulatory disclosures and board-level reporting
• Oversight of the organisation’s tax framework, policies, procedures and compliance obligations across all jurisdictions
• Act as key liaison with the ATO and engage external tax advisers as required

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience leading a finance function, within financial services or a professional services firm
• Demonstrated experience leading senior finance teams
• Deep expertise in financial management strategy, corporate financial reporting and tax compliance
• Strong knowledge of superannuation or funds management, fund operations and the applicable regulatory environment
• Significant experience engaging with regulators, managing financial risk and operating within legislative compliance frameworks
• Proven ability to prepare and present to audit and board committees
• CA or CPA qualified; Diploma of Superannuation Management desirable
• Melbourne-based candidates preferred; must be available to commence within the contract timeframe
