We are currently recruiting on behalf of Sunshine Coast Regional Council for two exciting temporary opportunities based in Maroochydore. These roles offer the opportunity to work outdoors as part of a professional Council team delivering important community services.

Parks Worker Level 3
  • Pay Rate: $43.51 per hour + Super
  • Start Date: Wednesday, 15 July 2026
  • End Date: Friday, 9 October 2026
  • Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Join the Parks team and assist with maintaining Council's parks, gardens and open spaces.

Duties may include:
  • Parks and gardens maintenance
  • Mowing, whipper snipping and edging
  • Pruning and planting
  • Weed control and mulching
  • General horticultural and landscaping duties
  • Maintaining Council open spaces and public areas
Requirements:
  • Certificate II in Horticulture/Arboriculture
  • Construction Industry White Card
  • Current Class C Driver Licence
  • Experience in parks, landscaping or horticulture
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety

Civil Field Worker Level 3 – Bridge Maintenance
  • Pay Rate: $43.51 per hour + Super
  • Start Date: Monday, 20 July 2026
  • End Date: Tuesday, 15 September 2026
  • Hours: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Join the Bridge Maintenance Team responsible for maintaining Council infrastructure including timber bridges, boardwalks, viewing platforms and concrete road bridges.

Duties include:
  • Maintaining timber bridges, boardwalks and viewing platforms
  • Concrete road bridge maintenance
  • General civil maintenance works
  • Timber repairs and construction
  • Operating hand and power tools
  • Working outdoors as part of a team
Requirements:
  • MR Driving Licence
  • EOR Manual Handling Certificate
  • RIICRC319E – Saw and Cut Concrete Pavements to Initiate Planned Cracks
  • EOR Working in Proximity to Traffic Part 1 & 2
  • Experience in civil construction or maintenance
  • Experience with timber work is highly regarded
