Our client are a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to offering Supported Independent Living services to individuals with various sensory impairments and additional disabilities. Their primary aim is to foster opportunities for enhancing independence, inclusion, and overall wellbeing. You will make a difference to clients and work across 4 homes in the Illawara.
We are seeking a dynamic Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our clients team. This role involves providing support to clients with sensory, intellectual, and physical disabilities, with a focus on boosting their independence, inclusion, and wellbeing through the implementation of behaviour support plans and services. The ideal candidate should be capable of actively promoting their services to both internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate should possess experience in providing services to individuals with disabilities requiring behaviour support, expertise in conducting functional behaviour assessments and developing comprehensive behaviour support plans, familiarity with best practices in positive behaviour support and trauma-informed approaches, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

- Salary : $90,000 for Core Practitioners and up to $120,000 for Advanced

Essential Criteria:
- Tertiary qualification in Psychology/Occupational Therapy/Social Work/Speech Pathology, Community Services/Youth work/Counselling or other allied health or disability qualification there any relevant registrations are required
- Experience working as a Behavioural Support Practitioner
- Behavioural Support Practitioner registration – Core , Proficient or Advanced
- Police check, NDIS, WWCC
- Covid vaccination
- License required and access to a car
