Senior Occupational Therapist – Neurodevelopmental Assessment

We’re currently looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join an established and highly experienced multidisciplinary team specialising in neurodevelopmental assessment.

This is a senior clinical role for an OT who already has strong experience in Autism and ADHD assessment and wants to work alongside a knowledgeable team of Psychologists and Allied Health Professionals.

You’ll be involved in the assessment of children and young people, bringing your OT expertise to areas such as sensory processing, functional skills, development and everyday participation. You’ll also contribute to MDT discussions and report writing, with plenty of opportunity to use and develop your clinical expertise.

What you’ll be doing:

• Contributing to comprehensive Autism and ADHD assessments
• Completing OT, functional and sensory assessments
• Using ADOS-2 and ADI-R within the assessment process
• Contributing to MDT discussions and clinical decision-making
• Writing clear, detailed reports and practical recommendations
• Working with families and other professionals involved in the child’s care
• Maintaining high clinical standards across your work
• Taking an active role within a senior, collaborative clinical team

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• CORU registration
• Strong post-qualification experience at Senior OT level
• Previous experience in neurodevelopmental assessment
• ADOS-2 and ADI-R training – essential
• Strong knowledge and experience of Autism and ADHD
• Excellent assessment and report-writing skills
• Comfortable working independently and as part of an MDT

Experience in paediatrics, sensory integration, early intervention or disability services would be an advantage.
