Job Overview
As an Inside Sales & Service Representative - Parts, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while supporting the sales and service lifecycle for compressed air equipment and replacement parts. Acting as a trusted advisor to customers, you will provide technical support, identify parts solutions, prepare quotations, process orders, and ensure timely delivery. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical expertise, build customer relationships, and grow within a global industrial technology leader. You will work closely with customers, field sales teams, service professionals, and operations partners to ensure seamless execution from inquiry through fulfillment, while contributing to business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to parts, products, and service solutions.
- Identify customer requirements and provide accurate parts recommendations, quotations, and order support.
- Manage the full order lifecycle, including quote generation, order processing, expediting, shipment tracking, and issue resolution.
- Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.
- Partner with the outside sales team to support lead generation, customer engagement, and business growth initiatives.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to ensure product availability.
- Coordinate external purchases and transportation activities while supporting cost-effective operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, records, purchase orders, and customer communications.
- Support warehouse operations, including parts handling and forklift operation when required.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Mentor and support team members by sharing knowledge, best practices, and customer service excellence.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and business analyses to support operational and sales objectives.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and business performance.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree or 2-3 years of relevant customer service, sales support, technical support, or industrial experience required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Technical aptitude or experience within industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or equipment-focused environments strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn internal business systems.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or similar customer relationship management platforms is a plus.
- Forklift certification is preferred but not required; training and certification will be provided.
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments, including occasional lifting of materials up to 40 pounds.
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, aftermarket parts, compressed air systems, or technical products.
- Knowledge of inventory management, order fulfillment, and customer support processes.
- Experience working in a fast-paced distribution, manufacturing, or service environment.
