This role is suited to Project Engineers with experience in commercial building construction who are looking to take the next step on major new build projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of key construction trade packages from procurement through to completion.
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants and suppliers to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Prepare, monitor and update short and medium-term construction programs.
- Administer subcontract agreements, progress claims and variations.
- Monitor project budgets, prepare cost forecasts and support commercial reporting for allocated work packages.
- Oversee design coordination and ensure construction activities align with project documentation.
- Implement and maintain project quality and safety management systems across your work fronts.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering and process improvements throughout construction.
- Approximately 4-7 years' experience as a Project Engineer within commercial building construction.
- Demonstrated experience delivering new build commercial projects such as offices, healthcare, education, defence, residential or mixed-use developments.
- Experience managing major subcontract trade packages throughout the construction phase.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in procurement, cost control and contract administration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary project teams.
- A proactive attitude, strong organisational skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality project outcomes.
