Senior Finance & Funding Officer

Davidson is partnering with a large, well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Finance & Funding Officer for an initial 6-month contract.

Based in Murarrie, this is a great opportunity to join a large and collaborative finance function in a varied role spanning transactional finance, account services and funding support.

About the Role
Reporting to the Account Services Manager, you will support a broad range of finance and funding activities across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting accounts receivable activities including payments, refunds, reconciliations and debtor management
• Accounts payable including invoice and payment processing, supplier queries and ledger maintenance
• Supporting funding and grants administration, monitoring and reporting
• Assisting with grant acquittals and associated reporting requirements
• Maintaining accurate financial records, journals and account information
• Providing advice and support to internal and external stakeholders
• Data analysis, reporting and monitoring of key performance indicators
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
• Supporting audit requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures

The position combines transactional finance with funding administration and stakeholder support, so would suit someone who enjoys a varied role rather than focusing solely on AP or AR.

About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:

• Strong experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management and/or transactional finance
• Previous experience with funding and grants administration
• Experience working within a large, complex or multi-site organisation
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with Power BI experience highly regarded
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• A customer-focused approach and confidence resolving complex queries
• Demonstrated process improvement capability
• Relevant finance, accounting or business qualifications will be highly regarded

The position requires a current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
