Position Overview

The Drug & Alcohol Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating pre-employment compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations related to employment records and drug testing. This role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring compliance with federal requirements.

The coordinator will review documentation for accuracy, track candidate compliance status, communicate with previous employers, and maintain organized candidate records. This position will also receive training to become a DOT-qualified drug test collector, including conducting same-gender observed collections when required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate pre-employment compliance with DOT and FAA regulations.
  • Review employment and compliance paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with candidates and previous employers to obtain required records.
  • Research and verify contact information for previous employers when necessary.
  • Enter and update candidate information in tracking systems.
  • Match incoming documentation to original requests and maintain accurate records.
  • Scan, file, fax, and organize candidate documentation.
  • Track candidate status throughout the compliance process.
  • Administer drug test collections after completing DOT-required certification training.
  • Conduct same-gender observed drug collections when required by federal regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Data entry experience with excellent accuracy.
  • Experience with filing, scanning, and document management.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
