Job Overview:
Ingersoll Rand’s North America business unit within Industrial Technologies & Services (ITS) is seeking an Oil Free Rotary Product Manager. Reporting to the Product Management Leader for Oil Free Technologies, this role is responsible for driving profitable growth across the Ingersoll Rand oil-free rotary compressor portfolio (3–450 HP).
This position leads product strategy, roadmap development, new product introductions, and lifecycle management for one of the industry’s largest oil-free compressor portfolios. Acting as a business leader for the portfolio, the Product Manager will shape the future of oil-free rotary technologies and support a key growth segment for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Own product strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and value propositions for oil-free rotary compressors and related services.
- Analyze market, technology, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and present business cases supporting new products and product enhancements.
- Conduct customer portfolio reviews to drive sales growth and mitigate business risks.
- Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) initiatives through customer engagement, interviews, and advisory panels.
- Advocate for customer satisfaction through continuous improvements in quality and operational performance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute product development, commercialization, and product integration plans.
- Manage product lifecycle strategies, including existing platforms and aftermarket parts offerings.
- Develop sales forecasts to support manufacturing plans, inventory management, and product transitions.
- Travel as needed to strengthen customer and channel relationships.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Technical, or Scientific discipline required; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience, preferably in industrial B2B markets.
- Knowledge of life sciences, food & beverage, electronics, or utility-related industries is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience working with customers and phase-gate product development processes.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven business acumen, including financial analysis and business case development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results on schedule.
- Strong ability to influence without direct authority.
