Looking for solid pay without the dealership pressure?
A well-established West Auckland vehicle dealership is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to take ownership of the mechanical preparation and repair of sold vehicles.
This is a stable, weekday only role based in a workshop environment where you don’t need to worry about micromanagement or workshop politics.
This role is best suited to a capable, self-sufficient technician who takes pride in their work and doesn’t require close supervision to deliver quality results.

You’ll be responsible for
- Mechanical repairs and servicing on sold vehicles
- Diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently
- Working predominantly on Japanese makes — Toyota, Subaru, Honda, Mazda
- You’ll work on some NZ new vehicles also
For larger or highly specialised repairs, support is available via a nearby compliance centre with extensive equipment and resources.
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ mechanical experience
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Confident working independently
- Reliable, resilient and self-motivated
- Experience with Japanese vehicles preferred
- Clean, full NZ driver’s licence
