Job Overview:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the development, optimization, troubleshooting, and long-term support of manufacturing test systems used in end-of-line (EOL) testing of pumps, compressors, motors, and related products. The position also supports laboratory instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and electrical measurement systems and provides electrical and controls engineering support to plant maintenance and manufacturing teams. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations teams to improve product validation processes, increase test system reliability, enhance data collection capabilities, and ensure products consistently meet customer and quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain electrical and automated end-of-line test systems used to validate product performance, safety, and quality requirements prior to shipment.
- Develop and support LabVIEW, National Instruments, PLC-based, and data acquisition systems used for manufacturing and laboratory testing.
- Troubleshoot and improve electrical test equipment, instrumentation, sensors, controls, drives, and data collection systems to maximize uptime and test accuracy.
- Support pressure, temperature, flow, electrical, vibration, and performance measurement systems used in manufacturing and product qualification testing.
- Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to investigate test failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality and first-pass yield.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on test automation, process capability, cycle-time reduction, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Support new product introductions by developing test methodologies, validation plans, fixtures, work instructions, and production support processes.
- Provide electrical engineering support to plant operations, maintenance, and capital projects, including equipment upgrades and modernization initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, automation, controls, or test/industrial electrical engineering, including hands-on development, maintenance, or troubleshooting of automated test equipment and electrical measurement systems.
- 3+ years with LabVIEW and National Instruments hardware/software platforms, with hands-on exposure to industrial instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, power measurement)
- 1+ years supporting end-of-line testing in a high-volume manufacturing environment

Preferences:

- Knowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, industrial communications, and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, rotating equipment, or industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards, risk assessments, system validation, and design verification testing.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- This position is fully site-based at the Monroe, Louisiana manufacturing facility.
- Occasional travel may be required to support equipment suppliers, training activities, customer requirements, or other business needs.
