Partnerships Manager | Science for Wildlife

Help protect Australia's wildlife by building partnerships that matter

Science for Wildlife is a growing, high-impact not-for-profit based in the beautiful Blue Mountains, dedicated to conserving native wildlife and the places we all call home. We create and share scientific knowledge to empower conservation, working alongside scientists, land managers, communities and partners to deliver solutions that last.

As Partnerships Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening and growing the partnerships that underpin our conservation programs. Working closely with the Executive Director and a passionate, mission-driven team, you'll secure and steward values-aligned corporate partnerships that support our science and conservation work, expand our reach and build long-term sustainability.

This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to someone who thrives on relationship building, collaboration and turning shared values into meaningful action.

Based in the Blue Mountains, this role offers flexible hybrid working and would suit someone living locally or in the broader Western Sydney or Central West region who is looking to combine professional impact with lifestyle and flexibility.

In this key role, you will:
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow and diversify corporate partnerships
  • Retain, deepen and steward existing corporate partner relationships
  • Identify, research and secure new partnership opportunities aligned with our mission and values
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective and active partners, tracking performance and outcomes
  • Develop tailored partnership proposals and present compelling pitches to potential partners
  • Work across teams to embed partnerships into conservation programs and fundraising campaigns
  • Create and deliver partner communications that clearly demonstrate impact and value
  • Facilitate partner engagement opportunities, including sponsorships, workplace giving and staff involvement
About you

You're a strategic, relationship-driven partnerships professional who understands how collaboration fuels impact. You're confident working autonomously, yet thrive in a small team where ideas, initiative and shared purpose matter. You bring a balance of big-picture thinking and practical delivery, and you care deeply about aligning partnerships with mission and integrity.

You have:
  • Proven experience building and managing partnerships across corporate, government, NGO or community sectors
  • Strong relationship management and stewardship skills, with the ability to tailor engagement to different audiences
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, including proposal development and pitching
  • Experience managing partnerships end-to-end, from prospecting and negotiation to long-term stewardship
  • An understanding of how partnerships support sustainable revenue through sponsorship, fundraising and philanthropy
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes
  • Sound judgement around values alignment, reputational risk and ethical considerations
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, NFP Management, Social Impact or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Why you'll love working with Science for Wildlife
  • Join a respected conservation organisation based in the Blue Mountains
  • Enjoy flexible hybrid working that supports work-life balance
  • Conveniently located for candidates living in the Blue Mountains, Penrith and greater Western Sydney, or Lithgow to Bathurst.
  • Work closely with scientists, communities and partners to protect native wildlife
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a critical function within a small, committed team
  • A role where your work directly contributes to lasting environmental impact
Bring your partnership expertise to a role where collaboration fuels conservation and where science, community and shared values come together for wildlife.
