Summary of Responsibilities
Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Technician will execute work assignments in accordance with approved procedures, work order, or supervisory direction, adhering to safe work practices (chemical, radiological, criticality safety, etc.). This position created value for the facility by performing preventative and corrective maintenance, leading to increased uptime and reliability, thus helping the facility to meet their production and quality goals
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of vocational school
- NM Journeyman’s license in one of the following JP, JOF, JR, MS-121, MS-14
- Relevant working experience in a chemical plant or nuclear facility is a plus.
Specific Skills:
- Experience and knowledge using test equipment including common and special instrument and electrical tools.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a strong mechanical aptitude including an aptitude in math, science, or computers.
Job Details
- Work Location: Urenco USA, Eunice, NM
- Work Schedule: Professional 9/80 work schedule, M-Th/M-Fri
- Travel Required: 5% of the time or less as required
- Security Clearance Requirement: CAA Access and an L or Q level security clearance
- Emergency Response Requirements: Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duty may be required; including being on-call (24/7) during your designated team duty week.
- Work Environment: Radiological exposure expectations of < 100 mrem/yr. General Office, Plant Production Areas. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets etc.
Primary Functions
- Perform process equipment preventative, corrective and troubleshooting activities.
- Repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with plant procedure adhering to Urenco’s policies regarding safety, maintenance, operation, and procedural compliance.
- Prepare work assignments in accordance with approved procedures, work orders, or supervisory direction, adhering to all safety requirements.
- Create task instructions and assist Planners in the creation of work orders.
- Update procedures to ensure they are accurate, safe, and workable.
- Complete documentation of work assignments in a real time manner to aid in the configuration management of the facility.
- Attain and maintain qualifications for Craft positions through a timely participation in training in accordance with UUSA’s maintenance training program.
- Obtain and utilize knowledge of computer hardware and software and be responsible for generating event reports in Correction Action Plan (CAP), performing all actions related to Preventative Maintenance (PM) and forced maintenance including deferrals, changes, justifications and other actions as assigned.
- Must be able to be situationally aware and work safely in an industrial environment.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a USA security clearance.
- Must be knowledgeable enough with computers and computer software to be responsible for generating reports, action items and change requests for preventative maintenance deferrals, changes, and cancellations.
- Must have the ability to collect information required to procure parts and work with customization/fabrication shops to obtain customized parts when necessary.

Compensation starting at: $ 78353 - $ 105341 / year and up dependent on candidate.
