Located in Melbourne's outer-west growth corridor, this brand-new Catholic co-educational secondary college operates within the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) network. Currently serving a growing student body with plans to reach 1,500+ students, the school is part of a well-established college expanding to meet the demand in one of Melbourne's most rapidly developing residential areas.

Role Overview

• Position Type: Full Time Permanent
• Position of Leadership: POL 3 (tenure 3 years)
• Start Date: Term 1, 2027 (January)
• Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs 
• Reports to: Director of Learning and Teaching 
• Salary: $89,218 to $127,692 (inclusive of $9,629 POL allowance)

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all VET programs across College Campus, including the facilitation and monitoring of students undertaking VET external subjects, SBATs and Structured Workplace Learning in collaboration with TAFE and employer partners
• Work with the VASS Coordinator to ensure accurate enrolment and registration of all VET and SBAT students, liaise with employers and TAFE regarding student progress, and attend VET cluster and ATIP meetings as required
• Lead curriculum planning, assessment design, moderation and data analysis within the VET learning area, collaborating across both campuses to ensure a consistent One School Two Campus approach to program delivery
• Counsel VCE VM and VPC students on VET course and work placement matters, coordinate Structured Workplace Learning presentations and assist students with finding relevant work placements in partnership with the Learning Diversity Leader
• Model, mentor and coach teachers in the VET learning area towards instructional excellence through evidence-informed lesson demonstrations, coaching, observations and feedback
• Manage the VET learning area budget, coordinate curriculum documentation, oversee quality assurance measures and induct teachers new to VET in line with VCAA and Government requirements

About You
You're a qualified teacher who:

• Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
• Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
• Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
• Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
• Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
